Taylor Durant

Hi, I am Taylor Durant.

I am teaching Grade 5 this year at Wheatland Crossing. I love the excitement and enthusiasm that our class has towards learning.

I graduated from Standard School in 2014. I still reminisce on all the wonderful memories and friendships I created while attending Rockyford and Standard School. I worked as an Educational Assistant on a Hutterite Colony for four years while I completed my Bachelor of Education degree through the University of Calgary.

I got married in 2019 and my husband and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl to our family in November 2021. We enjoy spending time with our families, being outdoors, and going boating in the summer. I also enjoy riding horses with my younger sisters.

I believe that all children deserve to learn and that every student can be successful when given the proper support. It is important to me to create a safe, caring, fun and engaging classroom. Building professional and positive relationships with my students is one of my favorite parts about teaching.

I am so thankful and proud to be part of the Wheatland Crossing School and being able to work with the amazing students!
