Students Creating Change at Wheatland Crossing!
November 15th marked the beginning of Wheatland Crossing Change Wars, a competition among teams to raise the most funds to promote water and health security in developing nations.
For this campaign we will be raising funds through a competition between classes to bring in change and batteries that we have dubbed Change Wars. This is a school wide event that will allow us to do some good while showing our students the positive effects we can have on the world when we come together to create change. It is also a great way to increase our knowledge about how people around the world live.
How does this work?
Week One (November 15-18th) – This is all about building UP a team’s point total. All change and batteries donated will count toward a team’s total.
Week Two (November 21-24th) - Things get a little competitive in week two. This is a reverse generosity week where you want to reduce the opposing team’s totals by donating to their jar. All of the money put into a team’s jar during this week will be deducted from their point total.
The winning group will be determined by the group with the highest (or least negative) total. The winner will be announced the week of November 28th.
